Astrophotography is something I really enjoy and something I want to do a lot more of. I have only started experimenting with night photography the last couple of years. I find myself doing it mostly in the summer time when the temperatures are more comfortable and the galactic core of the Milky Way is most visible. The only hard part, is that in Montana with our long summer days, it makes for very late nights to stay up to do it. It does not get completely dark until almost midnight in the summer months. I am hoping to make it more of a priority this summer and I want to scout out some more places that would add some foreground interest to my pictures.
I have had several other awesome Northern Lights experiences over the last couple of years. Please check out the gallery below. You can select the individual photos for a better view.
